Food 4 Less has some pretty good meat prices this week – grass-fed flap meat and skirt steaks are under eight bucks a pound, Sanderson Farms chicken is at a nice price point, and pork spareribs are worth grabbing for anyone planning to grill. There’s also whole beef brisket, St. Louis style pork ribs, and Home Chef ribs and wings in the mix. The produce section is looking solid too – Cuties mandarins, sweet corn, strawberries, peaches, nectarines, plums, Washington red cherries, and jumbo mangos are all at reasonable prices. Cucumbers, limes, and jalapeños are also available for those who like to cook from scratch.
Frozen aisle deals include Thrifty ice cream, Popsicle pops, DiGiorno pizza, Stouffer’s entrees, and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, plus El Monterey burritos and Totino’s pizza rolls. Snack-wise, Doritos, Lay’s, Fritos, Takis, Marinela cakes, and theater box candy are all part of the lineup. Beverages include Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Pepsi, Celsius, Powerade, and Arizona teas at great prices, along with a solid selection of beer, wine, and spirits. I also noticed some Hatch chile products, a portable charcoal grill, and back-to-school items like Crayola markers, lunch bags, and laundry baskets – pretty well-rounded ad overall.
